Today, OneChurch Basingstoke has launched its new website design at www.onechurchbasingstoke.org along with a Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.

A Complete Redesign
The Leadership Team discussed the OneChurch Basingstoke website back in September 2018 after Rev. Trevor Woodget, Administrator and Treasurer felt that having someone else on board to help run the website would be helpful. The team are grateful to Trevor for his work on the website and for keeping it up to date.
OneChurch Basingstoke leadership team member, Lieutenant Rob Westwood-Payne of The Salvation Army volunteered to design and maintain the new OneChurch Basingstoke website. The leadership team discussed amongst themselves and with other interested parties what the website should achieve, and it was decided to move away from Squarespace and to utilise the flexibility of WordPress.
New Features on the OneChurch Basingstoke website
There is some static information on the OneChurch Basingstoke website (such as About Us and Our Team). The homepage needed to be made less static, and we wanted to make the ever-changing parts of the site (news and events, in the main) more interactive and helpful.
The homepage therefore has the latest, most important news item on the front, and this will change as the news is updated. You can see more news on the News page.
The Events page now has a separate page for each event, with more helpful information such as a map and directions to the location of each event.
In addition, it will be possible for church leaders and members to add their own events and to edit their church listing (rather than going through the webmaster) in the future.
New Social Media Too
The website is also linked to three new social media accounts: a Facebook page, a Twitter account and an Instagram account. Why not sign up to all three?
Launch Day
The website and associated social media accounts will be officially launched at the OneChurch Basingstoke Annual General Meeting on Sunday (27 January) at 4pm. You are welcome to join us.
