Rooted Youth Conference is an annual youth conference for 13-18s. St Mary’s Church is hosting an information evening on Monday 21 January at 7:30pm.

How Rooted Youth Conference can support you
We’ll give an idea of what we have planned for the Rooted Youth Conference this year, particularly for those who have not been before, so that you can see how the Rooted Youth Conference can support your local youth work. We’d also love to meet you so we can get a better idea of how we can best help you, and we’ll take the opportunity to pray together for the event.
About Rooted Youth Conference
The Rooted Youth Conference is organised by a group of local youth leaders and supported by the South Central Gospel Partnership (scgp.org.uk). It is based on a model of helpful and challenging Bible teaching which applies the gospel to issues of our culture, and seeks to support the regular work of local churches to help root young people in their faith in Christ and enable them to grow up walking with Him. We particularly want to encourage small churches where young people may have very few Christian friends their age, for whom spending a day with lots of their peers could be really valuable.
This year we are excited to have Matt Searles coming to speak at the main sessions at Rooted Youth Conference. Matt is the Director of Training at SCGP, and is also a singer-songwriter focusing on the Psalms, with several albums released. He will be teaching from the Psalms, thinking about joy and trusting God in the good and the bad.
When Rooted Youth Conference takes place
The Rooted Youth Conference is on Saturday 30 March 2019, from 2pm to 8pm, at St Mary’s Basingstoke. As well as the main talks there will be sung worship led by EMU music, seminars, inflatables, a board game café, bookstall, plenty of food, and lots of time for the young people to get to know each other.
