Mel has been doing children’s and youth ministry in various ways, countries and contexts for over twenty years. She has had extensive experience in church based children’s and youth ministry and has, more recently, been the Director of the Children’s and Youth Ministry Course at Oak Hill College. She remains passionate about theological training for those in children’s, youth and family ministry and is now on the faculty of Crosslands, heading up the Youth and Children’s Ministry track.
This day conference is for youth workers and children’s workers and is being arranged by 1CB in collaboration with Growing Young Disciples. We will be joined by Mel Lacey, Executive Director of GYD.
The day will help attendees consider how to raise children and youth in a confusing post-Christian world. Young people need to know who they are in Jesus, how they relate to others, and how to be discerning. We will be covering identity, gender, technology, sexualisation, media, relationships & lots more!
The conference is being held at Church of the Good Shepherd, Winklebury from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
There is a fee of £10.00 per head to attend the conference and for this you will receive the training, course materials and lunch.
Registration in advance is essential using this link.
