Coming to Eastrop this summer, EastropLIVE is a music festival run by the church, for the community.
Peter Saint, one of the organisers of EastropLIVE writes:
On Saturday 22 June 2019, we will be taking over the canopy by the boating lake for a variety of musical performances – hopefully in the glorious sunshine!
Alongside this we will be hosting many of the local community outreach projects that Basingstoke churches are involved in. The Exhibitors Area will be a great opportunity for members of the public to find out more about what the churches do, and how they are serving our town.
Above all, we pray that many people will encounter Jesus! The music festival will start under the canopy at 11:30am until 6:30pm and then between 7pm and 9:30pm there will be a time of praise and worship.
We have a number of acts already booked but are looking for additional local bands, singers, choirs and soloists who maybe interested in taking part in the entertainment and the praise and worship time. To make this event happen, we will need many people (like you!) to help us. In particular we need:
- Qualified First Aiders
- Risk assessments and incident planning
- Stage hands
- Setting up the stage
- Erecting marquees
- Stewards
- General manpower during the event
- Clearing up team
- A someone with a van.
We do need some people with qualifications/experience in certain areas, but if you feel like you want to help make this event possible, please email Peter Saint who is co-ordinating this on pbsaint@btinternet.com.
And please pray for us as we plan and prepare for this event. We want to see Jesus glorified in our town, and that many will come to know him as a result of EastropLIVE!
