Prayer….beyond the Church

Saturday 15th September 9.30am-4.30pm

Old Alresford Place.

A wonderfully diverse day on prayer in challenging and creative contexts. Leading speakers and practitioners from across the UK include:  

Prayer and Urban Community Mission - Al Barrett (Rector Hodge Hill Church, Co-convenor Common Ground Community, and Research Fellow, Queen's Foundation, Birmingham);

Pilgrimage Spirituality and Labyrinths - Sally Welch (author of books on labyrinths, pilgrimage and mindfulness);

Prayer, the Arts & Public Spaces – Epiphany (this unique ensemble of professional musicians who use improvisation to engage listeners in ‘sound portraits’ are joined by artist Tamara Jackson from YWAM to engage in creative prayer through sound and image);

Prayer and Mental Health - Vanessa Lawrence (Adult Mental Health Chaplain, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust). Prayer Spaces in Schools - Ian Hayes-Anderson
