“Compelled by the love of Jesus, we seek the transformation of our town, by bringing Basingstoke’s churches together to build God’s Kingdom together in ways that we can’t do on our own.”
“We seek to embody Jeremiah 29:7: ‘seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.’”
Prayer: Initiating and Co-ordinating Prayer
Praying for the extension of God’s Kingdom across our town. Interceding for individual churches and ministries, as well as our joint work, expressing our complete reliance on God and seeking His will in all that we do.
Fellowship: Networking and Nurturing
Nurturing friendship and encouraging fellowship between Basingstoke’s Christians, and particularly their leaders, to build trust to work together in unity.
Mission: Motivating and Mapping Mission
Seeking town-wide opportunities to make Jesus known; supporting Christian ministries in the town; building relationships with the Local Authority and other agencies and civic groups.
Communicating
Supporting the above by enabling regular communication between church leaders, and to the wider Christian community. Providing a “front door” contact point for civic organisations to work with the churches more easily.
Basis for Membership
